Side View Swing Arm Height given Percentage Anti Dive Solution

STEP 0: Pre-Calculation Summary
Formula Used
Side View Swing Arm Height = Percentage Anti Dive Front/((Percentage Front Braking)*(1/Side View Swing Arm Length)/(Height of CG above Road/Wheelbase of Vehicle))
SVSAh = %ADf/((%Bf)*(1/SVSAl)/(h/b))
This formula uses 6 Variables
Variables Used
Side View Swing Arm Height - (Measured in Meter) - Side View Swing Arm Height is the height of the Instantaneous center of swing arm as seen from side view.
Percentage Anti Dive Front - Percentage Anti Dive Front describes the amount the front of the vehicle dives under braking.
Percentage Front Braking - Percentage Front Braking is the amount of braking distributed to the front brakes.
Side View Swing Arm Length - (Measured in Meter) - Side View Swing Arm Length is the horizontal distance between center point of tyre and instantaneous center of swing arm in the side view.
Height of CG above Road - (Measured in Meter) - Height of CG above Road is defined as the height of vehicle's centre of gravity above road surface.
Wheelbase of Vehicle - (Measured in Meter) - Wheelbase of Vehicle is the center distance between the front and the rear axle of the vehicle.
STEP 1: Convert Input(s) to Base Unit
Percentage Anti Dive Front: 2.7 --> No Conversion Required
Percentage Front Braking: 60 --> No Conversion Required
Side View Swing Arm Length: 600 Millimeter --> 0.6 Meter (Check conversion here)
Height of CG above Road: 10000 Millimeter --> 10 Meter (Check conversion here)
Wheelbase of Vehicle: 1350 Millimeter --> 1.35 Meter (Check conversion here)
STEP 2: Evaluate Formula
Substituting Input Values in Formula
SVSAh = %ADf/((%Bf)*(1/SVSAl)/(h/b)) --> 2.7/((60)*(1/0.6)/(10/1.35))
Evaluating ... ...
SVSAh = 0.2
STEP 3: Convert Result to Output's Unit
0.2 Meter -->200 Millimeter (Check conversion here)
FINAL ANSWER
200 Millimeter <-- Side View Swing Arm Height
(Calculation completed in 00.020 seconds)

How is anti dive geometry useful?

When a car is under braking conditions, the braking force acts directly through the centre of gravity and causes the car to rotate. Anti-dive geometry prevents the car from diving on the brakes and stops the front wheels from deflecting vertically or going into bump due to braking conditions. Similarly to anti-squat geometry, the percentage of anti-dive that the car has is based upon side view swing arm length and height, wheelbase and centre of gravity height. If the car has 100% anti-dive then no compression of the front suspension due to braking forces will occur at all. If the percentage is lower than 100% then some compression will occur due to braking forces and will increase as the percentage gets smaller.
